That little flame that lights a fire under your ass
Well, I'm officially a student again! I registered for class last week. I'll be taking Intro to Inorganic Chemistry starting in January. It'll be Sundays from 9am-3pm; lecture and lab. Whew! It was either that, or Thursday nights until 10:30, and since I'm in the habit of being in bed around 11, I wasn't a fan of that idea.
I'm excited and a little nervous. I've never been known to get good grades in science classes; but I never had the motivation or drive before. Now I've got a purpose besides "'cause I have to to graduate." It's nice to have a better picture of what my working life will be like. I feel like I have more purpose. "It's that little flame that lights a fire under your ass. Purpose, it keeps you going strong, like a car on a full take of gas!" It's such a nice sense of peace. :^)
Also glad that my all things in moderation plan was a success this Thanksgiving. I managed to lose a pound this week; puts me down to 12 so far. Yay. I'm thankful that the Browns and Algeri's were able to gather around a table together, and enjoy each other's company. I'm thankful that my brother didn't make an enormous ass out of himself. I'm thankful that I have so many friends who love me and support me though laughter and tears. I don't know what I'd do without the taco nighters, or Heather's clan, or my work cohorts. I'm thankful that I have a boyfriend who loves me, and is willing to help support me while I do the PA thing full time in a few years. I'm thankful that I have him in my life to love, and take care of, and be given all those things in return.
I love you, Matt.
